Open Question: If not popcorn, then what is a good movie snack?

Earlier this week a Barry Petchesky-penned post on Defector lit up the moviegoing corners of the internet by arguing that popcorn, despite its long association with movies, is not a good movie snack. Petchesky makes several compelling points, but I don't want to relitigate it here. (OK, well, I kind of do, but that's not the main point of this open question.) Let's assume that popcorn is out. It's disappeared. Or it's been outlawed. For whatever reason, you can't eat popcorn anymore. What should take its place? My top two movie snacks are, in this order, Raisinets (not the SunMaid rip-off, which are not as good and which are packaged in such a way that you barely get any chocolate raisins) and Junior Mints. But, if I'm being honest, neither feels like an appropriate popcorn substitute. I'm also a fan of pretzel bites with cheese dip but that's in spite of that snack's structural/mechanical issues. If you can consume this without dipping your fingers in cheese then, well, you're more skilled than I am. It's a tough question to answer, but we're asking it anyway: In a world without popcorn, what should we be eating?
